The ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity.
The ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity, nor does one have to be able to meditate. It does not take years of practice. It is simply passed on from the teacher to the student. As soon as this happens, one has and can do Reiki. Because of this, it is easily learned by anyone.
Reiki is a pure form of healing not dependent on individual talent or acquired ability. Because of this, the personality of the healer is less likely to cloud the significance of the experience. The feeling of being connected directly to Universal's healing love and protection is clearly apparent.
The Attunement
Reiki is not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. It is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. This process opens the crown, heart, and palm chakras and creates a special link between the student and the Reiki source.
The Reiki attunement is a powerful spiritual experience. The attunement energies are channeled into the student through the Reiki Master. The process is guided by the Rei and makes adjustments in the process depending on the needs of each student. The attunement is also attended by Reiki guides and other spiritual beings who help implement the process. Many report having mystical experiences involving personal messages, healings, visions, and past life experiences.
The attunement can also increase psychic sensitivity. Students often report experiences involving: opening of the third eye, increased intuitive awareness, and other psychic abilities after receiving a Reiki attunement.
You may not be aware, but for most Indians tomorrow, Thursday night, is one of the most important nights of the year, known as Shivaratri. People pray, chant, meditate right through the night. I look upon this night as the one night in the whole year when we can set aside our material desires and needs and just connect to the deeper self, the atman, the soul. They say the planets and stars align in such a way to make new consciousness possible for anyone who wants it, to clear any karma and ease any difficulties, and it is also meant to be a night to attract the best life partner!
Of course, I'm not asking or expecting everyone to stay awake and meditate all night, although I will be, but I do request you to use tomorrow night to meditate even for a short period, do some yoga or listen to peaceful music (and really listen to the beauty of the music). And for all who know how to do Reiki or any healing techniques, please do so. Anything that can get you to connect with your higher self.
The next few days are also an excellent time to wear Rudraksha, especially if you have the No. 1 mukhi, 11 mukhi or 14 mukhi. You could also use clear crystals or rutile quartz etc.
Many of you are facing health issues or are feeling confused about your life path. It seems like just when things are looking good, something comes along to make you feel down! Inflammation and a heavy head is common. Stay as calm as you can and know that things will get better soon, starting with the planet of communication easing up in a few days' time. By the way, did you know that on Monday, according to Nasa, the sun erupted with a huge X class Flare, and as you know that sort of stuff could interfere with electronics as well as affect sensitive persons' energies.
